The Basics Head coach:  Bryan Williams (1st season) District:  District 16-A 2008 Record:  -10 Playoffs:  Did not qualify Base offense:  Power I Base defense:  4-3 Returning starters:  5 offense, 4 defense Overview A pair of senior linemen, Fred Barnes (6-2, 305) and Devin Scates (6-3, 260), will lead the way for the Longhorns. Barnes plays offensive guard and tackle and Scates plays tackle and defensive end. Senior Christopher Patterson is a skilled cornerback and wide receiver. Look for senior Antoine Neely, a returning starter, to be a key linebacker and running back. Senior Dominique Golden is another experienced skill guy who will play cornerback and running back. Sophomore Lionel Davis takes over the quarterbacking duties. At 6-2, 220, he’s got a lot of potential.
