The Basics Head coach: Teli White (3rd season) District: 15-AA 2008 Record: 6-5 Playoffs: First round Base offense: Multiple Base defense: 4-3 Returning starters: 5 offense, 6 defense Overview The Bears’ stong point could be wide receiver where several guys return with experience. Among that group were sophomores John Booker and Otis Lewis, junior Devin Houston and senior Shed Grandberry. Seniors Dwan Fields and Deandre Harris are candidates at running back. The clear leader on the defensive side of the ball is senior linebacker Cortez Bowen (6-4, 210). He’s really fast and can stop the run at the point of attack. Senior linemen Marvin Morgan (6-3, 270), DeAngelo Jackson (6-0, 240) and Marcus Smith all return.
