The Basics Head coach:  Cedric Miller (3rd season) District:  1-6A 2008 Record:  N/A Playoffs:  Not eligible Base offense:  Spread Base defense:  4-3/4-2-5 Returning starters:  11 offense, 11 defense Overview The Jaguars begin their first year with a full varsity schedule.  The line will be led by senior college prospects Al Bond (6-5, 255), Randall Clemons (6-4, 235) and Cedric Golden (6-5, 215).  Offensive leaders include senior quarterback Jeffrey Thompkins, senior running back Charlie Powell and senior receivers Cedric Burks and Keir McLemore.  Seniors Dwayne Harris, Teven Mitchell, Cameron Culver and Darren Carter lead the defense.  Juniors Charlie Powell and Lonnie Ballantine, plus sophomore Cedric Miller II, are also key starters.

As the season approached junior Jeffrey Thompkins and sophomore Trey Becton were competing for the starting quarterback job. Both players are good athletes who can do some damage on the run.
