Southaven Chargers Football Preview 2009

The Basics Head coach:  Kelly Spivey (2nd season) District:  1-6A 2008 Record:  8-4 Playoffs:  First round Base offense:  Spread Base defense:  4-3 Returning starters:  4 offense, 4 defense Overview The Chargers were hit pretty hard by graduation, particularly at the skill positions.  Offensive stars like Calvin Malone, Jerrious Farley, Devin Morton and Tyler Brant all moved on. Junior Domonique Harris returns. He’s an all-around athlete who saw some action at quarterback last season. Senior T.J. Johnson is a solid running back who can also catch passes and make things happen. On the line look for seniors Chris Schultz (6-3, 275) and Jake Williams (6-0, 235) to lead the way.
