But the way the team has competed this year in freshman and junior varsity action, it’s hard for fans in Medina not to get excited about the future. In a convincing junior varsity win over Scotts Hill, freshmen Carlos Walden scored three touchdowns (three rushing, one on an interception return) and sophomore Chris Armstrong ran for two. Sophomore Avery Phillips, who could be the quarterback of the future, ran for a score and directed the offense efficiently.
