The Basics Head coach:  Mark Hogan (4th season) District:  2-4A 2008 Record:  3-7 Playoffs:  Did not qualify Base offense:  Wing-T Base defense:  Even Returning starters:  7 offense, 7 defense Overview The Patriots will be led on offense by junior quarterback Colby Sappington (6-3, 185). Look for him to get the ball to playmakers like Ryne Wammack and junior Patrick Rivers. The line will be anchored by senior Hunter Minor (6-0, 220) and Cody Gilbert (6-1, 220) and junior Zack Stewart (6-5, 315). DeAndre Hampton, a junior and Jonny Taylor are playmakers, as is senior receiver Barry Brown. The defensive will be led by senior linemen Dillon Keesee, Tyler Garner and Jeremy Bone. Senior safety Chris DeLillie is a guy who makes plays.

After a tough season-opening loss to crosstown rival Center Hill, the Lewisburg Patriots got back on track with a 49-0 route over Strayhorn. It was all Patriots from the start as Lewisburg scored the first 36 points of the game and cruised from there. The Patriots still have some work to do as the league schedule heats up in the coming weeks, but on this night at home, Lewisburg put it all together. Lewisburg scored in a variety of ways. Defensive lineman Jeremy  Bone scored on a fumble recovery early, while Dylan Castoria hauled in a 20-yard touchdown pass from Colby Sappington.
