Starters Lost F - Renita Kinney F - Hope Ross 09-10 Outlook The Lady Falcons were one of the feel-good stories of last season, riding a late-season hot streak all the way to Murfreesboro.  A couple of freshmen were huge reasons for the success.  Sophomore guard T.T. Flowers scored 21 points in the state tournament game and averaged 16 points, seven assists, five steals and five rebounds last season.  Sophomore Carnation Hart is an excellent rebounder who can also score.  Senior Mariah Matthews can score in bunches and senior Tarrida Abbot is also…

Starters Lost G - Carlos Young F - Russell Avery 09-10 Outlook The Falcons lost just five games last year, and four came against Humboldt, a team that was ranked No. 1 in the state all season.  Guys like Carlos Young and Russell Avery will be missed but there are plenty of athletes back.  Senior Patrick Robertson is a 6-4 guy who is just as comfortable operating on the perimeter or getting to the hoop.  Sophomore Rafael Tyler made waves last year as a freshman and should be even better this season.  Seniors who should be in the regular…

The spread offense started gaining momentum earlier this decade in college and the trend trickled down to high school. Last year 34 area quarterbacks threw for over 1,000 yards, six threw for at least 2,000 and one surpassed the 3,000-yard barrier. Ten years ago a 1,000-yard season for a high school quarterback was relatively rare.
