In fact, only two players on this year’s roster saw any game action last year. A rebuilding job will probably be in order for head coach Kevin Starks. The two players with game experience are senior forward Greg Taylor and senior guard Houston Dove. Taylor works the boards hard and Dove will run the offense from his point guard position. Photo by Jeff Ireland There were certainly some opponents of Harding Academy who were hoping and/or thinking that the Lions would falter this season without the services of superstar Marlon Brown, who graduated last year and is now playing for the University of Georgia. The naysayers have to be disappointed because Harding has done just fine. Matt Clemens and Christian Enochs have combined to throw for over 1,000 yards. The running game has been led by James Adkins, whose averaging about 60 yards a game. Brown played primarily receiver last season, meaning a big hole had to be plugged there. Tysean Norris (388 receiving yards) and Adkins (279) have filled in nicely in that capacity. Harding isn’t favored to get back to the state title…
