Halls needs strong finish

Photo by Lisa Smith Halls has won three games this season. Unfortunately for the Tigers though, all three have come outside of District 14-A. At 0-3 in league play, the Tigers are a long shot to get to the playoffs for sure. But Halls is not done yet. With league games remaining against Greenfield, Humboldt and Union City, the Tigers still have a shot. A 3-0 finish, and possibly a little luck, will be necessary for the Tigers to get to the postseason for a second straight season.

Halls edges Dresden

Photo by Roger Smith Halls got a late touchdown Friday night at home to edge Dresden 18-17 in a wild one. Cody Currin caught a 54-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter to put his team ahead by a point. A late defensive stand by Halls (3-2) preserved the win. Dresden fell to 4-2.

Lake County holds off Halls in Thursday action

Photo by Roger Smith Halls was looking to go 3-0 Thursday night in Tiptonville for the first time in a while, but fell just short in a 23-18 loss to Lake County. Down by five with less than two minutes to go, Halls failed to convert a fourth-and-nine play and took its first loss of the season. Patrick Robertson had a big game for the Falcons, who moved to 3-1 on the season.
