Humboldt defeats Douglass at Crump

Photo by Jeff Ireland Quan Campbell and Darren Dunbar each had big games Friday at Crump Stadium in Memphis and Humboldt defeated Douglass 33-14 in the first round of the Class 2A state playoffs. The Vikings (7-4) will travel to Adamsville Friday night for round two. Humbold led 21-14 at the half before Dunbar hit Campbell on a 29-yard touchdown pass and Campbell scored on a two-yard run in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Dunbar hit Antonio Brooks on a 19-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter after Humboldt recovered a Douglass fumble on the opening kickoff.
