It’s all finally been settled, and now it is time to begin the road to Murfreesboro. Below is a quick look at all 31 playoff games involving West Tennessee teams. Fayette Academy used a strong rushing attack Friday night on the road to defeat Tipton-Rosemark Academy 27-6 in Division II-A play. Joseph DeFoor scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and finished with 132 yards on 11 carries to lead the way for Fayette Academy (4-4, 2-2). DeFoor scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and added a 17-yard run in the fourth quarter to put his team ahead 27-0. Drew Dowdy scored on a nine-yard run in the second quarter and quarterback Josh Johnson scored on a three-yard sneak just before halftime to put Fayette Academy ahead 21-0. Photo by Charlie Sutton. Fayette Academy hosted SBEC in a Division II-A match-up Friday night and fell to the Trojans 24-6. Rain began to fall as the captains met in the center of the field for the coin toss, however it did not seem to bother the Vikings as they took an early 6-0 lead. The rain subsided and SBEC went to work both on the ground and in the air with 24 unanswered points. The win moved to the Trojans to 3-1. The Vikings fell to 1-2.
