Sanders 09-10 Outlook Blaine Mahaffey comes over from Ripley and has extensive coaching experience in West Tennessee.  The backcourt figures to be led by seniors Sam Crocker and Trey Walker, a pair of guys who can play either guard spot.  This team does not have much size again this year, so 6-0 junior Winn Decker will likely see time in the paint, like he did last season.  Andrew Sanders and Tevin Taylor are both seniors who figure to get an opportunity this season.  The…

Photo by: Roger Smith 08-09 Record:  14-13, district tourney Head Coach: Randy Coffman District:  13-AA Returning Starters F - Lauren Evans (Jr.) Starters Lost G - Jessica Light G - Marci Coleman F - Kendra Taylor F - Katie Clark 09-10 Outlook Longtime coach Randy Coffman will have a relatively inexperienced group this season as the Lady Trojans move into a new district.  Jessica Light and Kendra Taylor, both of whom graduated, led the team last season.  Some younger players will have to step up this season.  Junior Lauren Evans figures to be one of several players who will get an opportunity.  Paige Evans, Rudy Wesley and Brandi Davis are three more juniors who got their feet wet last year and could be ready to…

Big third quarter propels Milan past Dyersburg

Three Bulldogs scored in double figures Tuesday night at Dyersburg as Milan defeated the Trojans 67-59 to move to 4-0 on the season. Cody Howard and Winn Decker led the Trojans (3-2) with 15 points each. Decker hit three threes in the game and Trey Walker (10 points) hit two, but it wasn’t enough.  Milan trailed 32-30 before winning the third quarter 17-7 to take control of the game. Same Reeves finished with a game-high 16 for Milan. Mark Vaughn added 15 and Zach Chatman scored 11.
