Obion wins matchup of undefeated teams

Obion County got a big night from senior Chassidy Fussell Tuesday night to remain undefeated and hand Crockett County its first loss of the season. Fussell, a Texas signee, scored a game-high 27 points as the Lady Rebels (5-0) cruised to a 70-40 win. Katie Pate and Brandi Goodman each added 10 points for the winners. Jasmine Johnson led Crockett (3-1) with 12 points and Abby East added eight. Obion County jumped out to a 21-6 first quarter lead and never looked back.  

Crockett downs Rebels in Alamo

Crockett County got 17 points from Tim Frye Tuesday night at home and defeated Obion County Central 88-78 in boys’ basketball action. The Cavaliers (3-0) built a 25-point halftime lead and held on down the stretch to remain undefeated. Chad Ingram and Marshun Hill each scored 14 points for the winners and DaVaughn Pickens added 12. Blake Walton led Obion County with 21 points on five threes and Christian Higgins added 17. Tanner Noles scored 15 on four threes and Travis Daniel finished with 11.
