Photo by Sam Hays Different game, same story. There’s a been a constant theme all year as Milan has rolled to a 13-0 record: dominant play from seniors Jobronski Gilbert and Avery Williamson. That was the story again Friday night in the Class 3A state quarterfinals as the Bulldogs rolled to a 42-7 win over Camden. Gilbert and Williamson each had two touchdowns, and Williamson played stellar defense as Milan moved on to the state semifinals against York Institute. Camden (11-2), playing without injured quarterback Michael Gaskin, trailed just 14-0 at the half. Maurice Whitfield scored on a five-yard run in the fourth quarter for the decisive score in a 20-17 Lions’ win. Camden (11-1) travels to Milan Friday for a Class 3A state playoff quarterfinal matchup. Westview, which won seven straight games after starting the season 0-4, finished with a 7-5 record. Demarcus Williams scored on a four-yard run in the fourth quarter to put the Chargers ahead 17-13. Williams gave his team a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with a seven-yard run.
